HTML and CSS
I’ve been playing around with HTML since 1994 at the age of 14. I didn’t really start learning the good stuff until I got hired at my current place of employment in 2006. I’ve learned so much in the last 3 years, and I crave to learn more every day.
I’m by no means an expert when it comes to HTML or CSS, but I actually enjoy learning about methods and standards for creating websites correctly. I like learning these new techniques, and I’ve spent the last 2 years learning the differences between browser interpretation of those techniques.
I love having the ability to run across a problem in Internet Explorer 6, and instantly knowing what it is due to the experience of dealing with it before. And that’s really the requirement for learning something like this, repetition.
Occasionally I will post little tidbits I learn during my work, and who knows, maybe one day someone will be coming to me to learn these things. Maybe one day I’ll have to answer a question for Michael Robinson.
